SI/E extends support to Soroptimists in L’Aquila, Italy

Soroptimist International of Europe is deeply saddened at the horrendous earthquake that has caused so many deaths in the town of one of our Soroptimist clubs, L’Aquila in Italy. My deepest sympathy goes out to those members who lost family, friends and loved ones. So many are injured and authorities are still unsure how many people remained trapped in the wreckage. Thousands of people cannot go back to their unsafe houses thus have to sleep in tents or in their cars. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance. What a nightmare this must be for you. We are so sorry to hear about this horrible news and our thoughts are with you all.
